Ruder Than You Live - WXPN - Aug. 21, 1993

Vintage 1993 interview and live in-studio recording of ska band Ruder Than You at WXPN Philadelphia with host Helen Leight. The 5-member Ruder Than You was on the verge of their 4th Anniversary and consisted of Doug Dubrosky - sax and backing vocals, David Ernst Schneck - trombone, vocals, and rhythm guitar, John Woodman - drums, Don Pancoe - bass, and Greg Fain - lead guitar. The Big Step CD was released the prior year in 1992. A couple months after this broadcast Greg Fain left the band and by Spring of 1994 Dave Schneck also left the band. Helen Leight mentions in the interview that there was some tension during the session, which immediately preceeded two shows at the Chestnut Cabaret that same day where Ruder Than You would share the stage with Toasters, Disorden Publico, and King Apparatus for an early all-ages set and a late 21 & up set. The attached photograph shows the members of RTY in 1991.
